plot:
It all boils down to a dance contest, but before and after it, there were a lot of events. The whole movie was fun for me, it cheered me up, everything was great. By the end of the film, it had become more of a social drama. Tony realized that there was more than just dance and music and his favorite dance club, there was more to the world. He always lived in the present and that was a mistake. The film raises the issue of discrimination against people from other countries. Tony, unlike his friends, was a man, not someone who, at the sight of a person from another country, yelled at him, rude him and the like.
This movie was made in 1977. Unfortunately, I wasn’t even born and didn’t see the whole atmosphere of Disco. Her music, her clothes, her character. I didn’t live in those years and in the frames of this film I regret it very much. I understand that this is just a movie, but it also has its own charm and the truth that not everything in life is as perfect as you would like and that you can not live when after every salary you want to buy yourself a new shirt.
Acting game:
John Travolta played great in this film. His gait at the very beginning of the film to the immortal hit band Bee Gees, Stayin' Alive, admires, it seems, nothing intricate, but still it's cool. How he dances. So dance, it takes a long time to rehearse, not one day. And of course his solo number. Well, at the end of the guy-fun, he perfectly transformed into a dramatic actor. There were no more such memorable roles in the film. Everyone played well.
Music:
It was immediately clear that it would be good, because the whole film was composed on the hits of the Bee Gees. Songs like ‘Stayin’ Alive, ‘How Deep Is Your Love,’ ‘Night Fever...’ and so on, this list can go on for a very, very long time. In general, the musical accompaniment of the film at a very high level.
In my opinion, this is the best film of the disco era.
